The day started in a very dull and gloomy fashion, with the first rain for over a week. However it brightened up later, then it was a mixture of sunshine and showers for the rest of the day. The chicks are still growing, and now seem to be completely feathered. We have seen no sign of anyone taking an interest in the outside world so far, but we plan to set the video recorder to come on tomorrow morning, just in case they decide to make an early exit. We think they may leave on Monday, so this will be a trial run, to make sure everything works as planned.
