Me first!! This chick has climbed out of the nest cup in its eagerness.
We think the following sequence shows Fluffy reacting to some external threat - a starling perhaps?
Fluffy appears to be covering her chicks and taking aggressive postures - note the flapping of her wings and the fanning of her tail. The whole sequence is quite long but eventually the threat went away and life returned to normal. Several times we have seen a starling's beak enter the nest box through the hole. However, a starling is much too big to get more of its body into the nest than that.
