Fluffy is taking the bedding for an airing again!
Barney comes to look for Fluffy.
Barney is the most attentive male bluetit that we have seen. This must be partly because we now have this excellent outside camera and can see what is going on just outside the box.
However, we are sure that that is not the whole story. Barney can be seen inside the box much more frequently than other males.
Here is Barney visiting inside again.
It is interesting to see how his head feathers are changing as the breeding season gets underway. No one could mistake Barney for a female now. His head feathers are much more masculine looking that Neptune's for example. That is why we think that Fluffy's eggs will be laid first!
Of course, once Fluffy has arrived, Barney has to beat a hasty retreat.

Barney comes to say good night 18 minutes later. Do they exchange calls we wonder? Its a pity we can't record sound!
