So now we have 6 eggs and one pink blob!
Barney comes in - he has been bring Fluffy food regularly all through this.
This time Fluffy meets him in a way that seems to be protecting the nest. It is the only time she does this, but poor old Barney is quite taken aback!
Does she suspect another egg is about to hatch?
Suddenly, she leaves the nest and flies to the exit hole. You can see a half hatched egg in the middle of the three left hand eggs.
Another egg is hatching!
Off she goes with part of the shell!
This is a rather good shot of Fluffy flying back to the nest box. Although her downy feathers are dreadfully contorted, her flight feathers appear quite unaffected and apart from being less streamlined than usual, and I guess more prone to getting her body wet when it rains, she appears to be able to operate quite successfully.
