I don't know whether Babe was still upset by the cat's visit, but half an hour later she was still very wary of going into the box.. Or perhaps it was a ploy to get the chicks to fledge!
"Where is she? Why isn't she bringing us food?"
As ever, it's Scrap who is the most vociferous.
At last some food arrives.
And it's Scrap who gets it this time.
On a subsequent occasion, Scrap is again in pole position when Ferdinand comes in with a mealworm.
But this time, he is bypassed and Ferdinand gives it to another chick.
"Hey - that's not fair."
Scrap makes a terrific fuss!
Then he goes and has a sulk in the corner.
"I never wanted it anyway!"
