Both boxes have been visited more than once today.
First a great tit appeared to be taking an interest in Box1. This was the box that a great tit pair, who we named Ferdinand and Babe, took over last year and raised a brood of 5 chicks. You can read all about the take over in last years diary - pick up the story from 9th April, 2005

However, this time he doesn't go in and shortly after this picture he flew away.
Another interested bird - this time a bluetit. Judging from the next picture, a female, wondering how her partner is getting on inside.
This picture was taken at the same time and shows what is probably the male having a good look round.
And there he goes a few seconds later.
