Just a couple of odd snippets today.
This bluey continues to live dangerously. This is Box1, the one normally occupied by a roosting great tit. I would love to see what would happen if the great tit returned when a bluetit was in the box.
I shouldn't think the bluetit would!
Meanwhile, in Box2, there has been another typical swap over.
One bluetit was already in the box when another came to it. The first bird crouches down keeping well out of the way ...
... the second bird flies into the box ...
... and immediately the first bird leaves.
At the moment I am not sure which bird is male and which female. I think the first is the male and the second the female ie the male is introducing the female to the idea of building a nest in this bird box.
