A close-up of one of Rosie's chicks from the side.

This chick almost looks attractive!

Rosie with her chicks.  All five chicks are in this picture, but because a couple of them are low down in the nest cup, they look much smaller than the rest.

Back to Donna's crew and the start of another short sequence.

Suddenly, one of the chicks stretches its wings and starts to flap.

Three and a half minutes later, it is still intermittently at it when Mum comes in with a mealworm.

Without bothering to fold its wings, it downs the mealworm in a trice!

Another mealworm a few minutes later.

If Donna enables these three chicks to fledge successfully, then she will have worked wonders.

Less than a week to go now!
