The second egg!
Egg number two duly arrived this morning.
The bluetits had better watch out! great tits nest a bit later then bluetits and if this bird is really interested, the nest box is his for the taking.
And just in case you are wondering, the hole is big enough for a great tit! (Better a great tit than an empty nest box!)
Directly after the great departed, a bluetit came for a visit. Presumably this is the bird that won the fight last Sunday.
It's no use it thinking that he can keep the great tit away just by making a bit of a fuss. If the great tit is really keen, there's no way the bluetit can stop it taking over.
