Bluetit Diary    May 2014 (8)

Thursday 15th May 2014

When it is fine early in the morning, the sun shines right into the Box2.  This seems to have prompted two chicks to take shelter from the sun by getting out of the nest cup and moving to the edge of the box beneath the entrance hole.

Let's hope a great spotted woodpecker doesn't hear them and pay them a visit!

All seven chicks still gaping for food as a parent leaves the nest box.

Another wing flapping session.
