Chris in Box3 now has 8 eggs.  That is one each day since she started laying on 30th April.  I wonder how many more she will lay?

She seems to be sitting on the eggs most of the time now.  She used to stay in the box for long periods of time when she only had a few eggs to worry about, but she didn't sit on them.  Perhaps she has started to incubate?

John - in case you had forgotten, her partner , the male, is called John - has come to the nest with some food.

I think this is the first time I have seen him feed Chris.

A view from the side.

Over in Box2, as I predicted, our two hens seem to be getting on together much better than they used to.  I am sure once the pressures of having to feed a large bunch of chicks come about, there will be little time for petty squabbles.
