Thursday 4th April, 2019

In Box1, Andy is keeping up the good work and feeding Ann again.

At last, Ann has brought a few feathers for her nest.

She comes to roost as usual at about 7.30pm.

It's now about 10 past 8 and Ann appears to be fast asleep - but in a different corner this time!

Back to Box2 - and who is this in the nest box?

Judging by the size of his head band, it's Ben.

A few seconds later, in comes Bella with a small feather in her beak.
Seeing Ben, she immediately adopts a begging posture - though she doesn't drop her small feather.

Ben leans forward to try to give her some food.

Bella, though, still has the feather in her beak - impasse!

I wonder why she doesn't drop it?

Ben gives up . . .

. . . and leaves the nest box . . .

. . . which means that Bella is now by herself again - and has missed her morsel of food!

She doesn't stay long.

It's now 7.30pm again, and Bella is back to roost.

Tucked up for the night a short while later.
