Seven glorious gapes!
Although the chicks are still blind, the sound of a parent coming, presumably with food, is enough for them to spring into action. Well, 7 of them anyway!
Seven chicks are clearly visible here and I think you can just see another at the bottom of the picture.
Again, eight chicks can be seen here. Where is the ninth chick? Or did it never exist!
At last we have a few images that clearly show there are still nine chicks in the nest box. The one at the top is definitely there, even though you cannot see its yellow beak. With the other eight chicks you can!
Here you can see all 9 yellow beaks, even though only four are gaping for food.
And again here you can clearly see there are nine chicks. That's good as it means that so far Olive and Owen have not lost a single chick.
