Fantail was still in the nest when we got up today. She stayed there for a further 20 minutes before taking a break. She was back again 20 minutes later, this time with yet another feather.
Go away, I'm still asleep.
Oh well, I suppose I'd better get up now!
This will keep them cosy - and a wriggle will make them feel loved!
After this Fantail left the nest and was away for over two hours.
Back to check that the eggs are still there.
Then there was an even bigger gap until a quarter to six. She then stayed in the box for about half an hour before leaving again. She finally entered the box for the day at about a quarter to seven. She was still intermittently fussing around at half past seven when we put out the light for the night. Fluffy was also apparently asleep at half past seven too.
It's been a long day.
Time for bed!
