Barney arrives at the nest box.
This is another of Barney's vertical take offs. He had been perching on the nest box hole and wanted to fly up to the roof. He jumps up and gives a quick flap - and he's there!
This evening, we forgot to turn the box's lights off until nearly a quarter past eight. Fluffy comes in to roost as usual at about half past seven.
She has no hesitation in going in as she does when it's dark because this is how the box normally looks to her. However, as she settles down for the night she is restless, probably because of the light.
However, she soon appears to have gone to sleep - no pictures were taken for about five minutes showing that she did not move during this period.
Then Barney comes to pay her his last evening visit!
As a result, Fluffy wakes up again. Did Barney call to Fluffy or was the sound of another bird on the roof of the nest box enough to disturb her?
She is still restless when we finally remember to switch off the lights at about a quarter past eight.
