Bluetit Diary    Feb 2004 (2)

Here is Fluffy's presumed partner - we still can't decide on a name for him.  Something solid and reliable - she needs a reliable partner after last year!

Last year Fluffy's partner, Flash, did a runner about four days before her chicks fledged.  With great guts and lots of hard work (and a bit of help in the shape of lots of mealworms from us) the chicks fledged on time.

(That may be hard on Flash - perhaps the sparrowhawk got him!)

There's Fluffy.  Wishing she was tucked up in the attic as usual no doubt.

This is Fluffy's speciality - a one winged nesting wriggle.  She did this a lot last year but we've never seen any other bluetit do this.
