Unfortunately, I've been out of action for a couple of days, but the chicks have been growing at an enormous pace.
Well, Fluffy still spends the night in the nest box. Here she emerges for the first time at 4.57am! She is carrying the obligatory faecal sac in her beak.
How the parents manage to keep up with this hectic work schedule without dropping dead with exhaustion, we'll never know. They are on the go relentlessly from 5am until 9pm, and Fluffy at least will not have a good night's sleep with that lot in with her.
She stays out for about 12 minutes, presumably getting something to eat for herself as well as something for the chicks.
Barney first arrives at 5.16am, so there's no slacking there.
The chicks are quite hungry in the morning. But then, the chicks nearly always look hungry!
Seven chicks clamouring for food! The one at the bottom of the picture can be seen with a mealworm stuffed into its beak which it hasn't yet swallowed. It will!
