What's this squirrel doing on Kate's nest box?

I put the spikes on in the hope that it would deter the next door cat - it certainly doesn't appear to be having any effect on this squirrel!

The squirrel is clearly having an effect on Kate, however.  Just look at that tail!

It was soon back to normal though.  This is Ben's first visit of the morning to see Kate.

And here Ben gives Kate her first feed of the day too!

Feed number 2 - 25 minutes later!

Claire has been sitting on her eggs without any fuss for what seems like ages.  From our records, we expect it to be about 12 days before the eggs hatch - which means that it is likely to be Saturday when the chicks start hatching - so watch this space!

Sam hasn't been keeping a very public profile but he is still around and is shown here passing what looks like a beakful of mealworms to Claire.

Three quarters of an hour later, here comes Sam again with what looks like more mealworms.

If you had any doubts about what Sam was feeding to Claire, you can't have them here - this looks exactly like a mealworm.

Good for our males - they are both doing the right thing by their partners.

Finally, a rare glimpse of all 10 of Kate's eggs - well I make it 10 anyway!
