Well, what are Fay and Abby up to now then?
Fay is still at the "playing nest making" stage. She takes nesting material out as much as she takes it in with the result that the state of the nest varies little from day to day. Her current preference is for hay.
Here she is with some more hay. Although it is quite a small piece, she seems to have a bit of a struggle to take it in!
Immediately after, she takes it out again!
She still has the hay in her beak a minute later.
A short while later, she leaves the nest again - still with her beak firmly clamped on the hay.
At least her high jinks give us some beautiful views of her.
We are wondering whether Abby on the other hand, is becoming serious. The top view of her nesting area shows that the floor is now covered.
She can regularly be seen doing nesting wriggles - from the side ...
... and from overhead.
