The activity around this nest box would be unusual even for February. The birds have been in and out all day.
One is inside and the other keeping a watch from the outside.
Still, it is now 1.15pm and I must get a move on!
Although there was no working inside camera, I could keep track of things from the outside and chose a time when I knew the box was empty to start the changeover.
This was at a quarter past two.
An hour later and the internal camera has been changed and the alterations to the support gantry completed. This was the first view of the front of the box. Perhaps it's a bit too low though. It's too late now, but I'll try to remember to take a photo of the gantry and post it here sometime soon!
The new internal camera worked first time!
This was the external view of Box1 after I had finished messing about with the position of the camera! We both think this is much better!
Let's hope that tomorrow will show that we haven't put the great tits off too much!
