Box3 continues to get some attention from a bluetit. This was just a passing visit though - he didn't enter the box.
Fifty minutes later he's back for another look.
He looks as though he's going inside this time.
That's a good sign - he's gone into the box again.
He inspects the camera ...
... and leaves soon after.
Not a long visit, but at least he seems to be getting more used to the box.
Over at Box1, the great tits seem to be in a great confusion about who is a friend and who an enemy - either that or there is more than one great tit pair trying to take over the box!
You don't expect a bird to give this sort of display to its partner!
A quarter of an hour later, this great tit is displaying again.
As the bird outside is a bluetit, this behaviour is more understandable.
This time it's a great tit again ...
... but it still gets the same treatment!
Do we have a neurotic great tit that cannot distinguish its partner from a bluetit, or are there two pairs of great tits after the box as a nesting site?
