This picture of a bluetit was presumably taken after a last minute change of mind about whether to land on the box.
In any event, it was the only picture worth reproducing for that day.
Sunday 14th December, 2008
had another visit from the wren today. Unfortunately, this was the best picture we could get as he didn't go onto the entrance hole.
Box3 was getting quite a bit of attention today. This time it's from a great tit.
Now it's a bluetit's turn!
He took a little longer to look around than the other two visitors.
Here we thought he might be going inside. But no. He flew away shortly after this picture was taken.
Last, but not least, here is a nuthatch having a particularly contorted look. You can do this sort of thing if you are the only bird that can run down a tree trunk upside down!
A bit less contorted, but still unusual!
He didn't go inside the box though.
