Things look promising for Box1 too.
We think we have a pair here also. We are calling them Fay and Bill.
Something must have startled them. Fay looks back over her shoulder and Bill's head feathers are in display mode!
They are not distracted for long. Here Bill looks into the nest box while Fay watches from the roof.
It took some time, but eventually Bill goes into the box. Fay is still to be seen on the roof.
I'm not completely certain that I have the birds correctly identified. Does this look like a male to you? I think so!
Still, as long as they know which is which - that's all that matters!
Certainly, this bird isn't doing girlie things.
Now what's up?
Is this bird displaying - or just recovering from trying to fly inside the nest box?
The other bird is still watching from the nest box hole.
Suddenly Bill decides to leave the box - and quickly. So quickly that he nearly knocks Fay off her perch!
