Elizabeth has just put out a new fat block and so the usual bevy of blue and great tits have descended for a feast.
Meanwhile various birds still appear interested in our bird boxes but so far none of them has gone inside.
A wren!
A wren roosting in one of our boxes would be rather nice - and certainly something new!
He didn't go inside though.

I wonder whether this is the same wren as we saw looking at Box1 two days ago?
This time it is Box3 that he is checking out.
Again, he didn't go inside.
A bluetit looks at Box1.
Now a great tit.
Half an hour later the great tit is back for another look.
Finally, another visit from the fox. He regularly tries to pick up the oats that the birds have left. It may smell good to him, but I doubt whether he gets anything much!
