A nesting wriggle!

I think this is the first nesting wriggle we have seen this season.  It took place in Box2 and reminds us that we must start giving names to this season's bluetits.

We have decided on James and Jess for Box2, but are still undecided about the rest.

So here is Jess performing a nesting wriggle in Box2!

Box3 has been a bit disturbed this year.  Our next door neighbour is having a car port built a couple of meters away from the side of our house where Box3 is mounted.  The resulting comings and goings haven't put of our birds completely as this rather nice picture taken today shows.  However, I think it has slowed things down somewhat.

There are clearly two birds coming to Box3.  This is probably a male, as you can see from his rather ragged head feathers ...

... and this is a female.  Her head feathers are much smoother than the male's.
