Finally, Becky's eggs have started to hatch!

What's  that pink thing that Becky seems to be paying so much attention to?  It looks as though one of Becky's eggs has hatched at last!

Yes - we have a chick in Box1!

It's still pretty feeble of course.  It doesn't seem to be able to hold its head up - but there's nothing to hold it up for at the moment.

Where's Bob when you need him?

Becky has some egg shell - another egg must have hatched!

Interestingly, after a considerable period of indecision (about a minute), Becky flies out of the nest with it.  She doesn't eat the shell like Jess did for most of hers.

Finally, at a quarter to eleven Bob finally turns up with some food.  I was starting to get worried about him - particularly when a scan of yesterday's pictures showed that he had only visited the nest box once in the entire day!

Bob stays long enough to have a good look at the chicks.

Ten minutes later Bob is back with what looks like a tiny green caterpillar - just the right sort of food for the young chicks.

Three minutes later he is back again - I think Bob is going to be up to the mark after all!

It's now 5 hours later, but still no more chicks have hatched out.

Finally, at the end of the day, this is James and Jess with their six chicks ...

... and Becky with her two!

I wonder how many more of her eggs will hatch?
