Still only 7 eggs in Box1.  It looks as though Poppy has finished laying.

In Box2, there are still at least 7 chicks and 3 eggs.

One chick seems to think food is coming.

The chicks are getting more and more covered by a dark grey, almost black, down.

They are also starting to develop wing feathers.  At the moment these are just pins with no actual feather material, but these will develop soon enough.

Hugh with the eight chicks.

Hugh is a diligent father.  Here he removes a faecal sac.

It's just as well, I would hate to think of the state the nest would get into if the chicks poo wasn't packaged like this for easy removal!

Eight sturdy gapes.

Last shot of the day - and no mum!  Has she stopped roosting in the box overnight - or is she just a bit later than normal?
