Five eggs! At least Sooty is carrying on laying her eggs. I wonder how many she will lay? My Collins Field Guide say that coal tits usually produce 7-9 eggs, sometimes 12. We shall soon find out!
So Lucy hasn't stopped interfering.

What does Lucy do with the stuff she removes. Does she just drop it outside, or does she use it in another nest she is building? Judging by the frequency of some of her visits, she must be dropping it, which makes her behaviour all the more perplexing.
