Our birds seem to be waiting for their hormones to kick in and cause them to produce eggs! Both nests appear ready and the females' activities appear to be time wasting and unproductive. Needless to say, there were no eggs in either nest this morning.
Fluffy brings some more hay .. .. .. and knocks it into shape.
Fantail seems to take for ever to decide what to do with a particular feather. She comes back to it time and again. We first noticed it at about a quarter past two. At three o'clock she was still messing about with it!
Right, where shall I put this feather?

Fluffy has had her problems with a feather too. She finally took it out again and disposed of it!
I don't like this one .. .. .. it'll have to go!
Fantail retired early tonight. She was all tucked up by 7.30pm. Fluffy took a little longer, but by eight o'clock she too had her head under her wing.
