Fluffy's nest looks almost finished. She must have been very busy over the weekend that we were away!
Here she is coming in with some more nest cup lining material.
Away she goes!
Ten minutes later, she's back with an even bigger beakful ....
...but unfortunately, she's still taking it out again too!
Fluffy on her way for some more nesting material?
Fluffy carried on like this for most of the day. A bluetit's busy time seems to be from first light until early afternoon when they seem to take a siesta.
This was taken soon after 7pm when Fluffy had entered the nest for the last time.
She seems to find something up there irritating. As we watched, we noticed that she frequently looked up to the top of the nest box like this - was she wondering when the lights were going out?
We switched off soon after. This was the last picture we took ...
... except for this!! We sneakily switched on again at about a quarter past ten, just for a second to see whether she had stayed.
Yes! Fluffy was roosting in the box for the first time this season!!
