Babe has laid another egg - five so far.  How many more will she lay?

The eggs are quite spotted.  My book describes them as being "White; with spots, specks and small blotches of purplish-red, and some pale purple.  Markings variable, usually rather profuse, occasionally sparse, rarely absent.  17.5x13.5mm"

I think that just about sums it up!

What's getting at Kelly this time?  She looks as though she is in her "repelling invaders" mood again!

She needn't have worried - a nuthatch is too big to get through the entrance hole.

Clearly, however, we should think about an even bigger hole on a box next year.  It would be nice to see a very different species nesting.
