A bluetit comes to Box3's entrance ...
We're pleased to see that a bluetit seems to be getting increasingly interested in Box3. It would be nice to have some chicks fledge from this box this year.
... and quite quickly decides to enter.
Inside the box once more.
He has a good look round ...
... from one angle ...
... and from another.
"Can I get up there?"
He soon decides he can't and goes to the entrance to have a look outside.
A few seconds later he is back inside again.
Then back on the hole again.
He leaves a short while later.
This was a more satisfactory visit than we have had before and gives us some optimism about the prospects of a nest being built here again this year.
