We've had several visitors already. Some more desirable than others though all of them are interesting.
I thought coal tits were only interested in nests close to the ground! This is Box2 which is installed at top of ladder height - about 15 feet up!
Just look at that tail! He reminds me of Fantail from many years ago.
Grab the nest box while you can!
This is a great tit researching Box2 six minutes later.
I think you'll find the hole in this box a bit tight for you again this year.

I'm sure this female great spotted woodpecker is searching for food rather than somewhere to build a nest or roost for the night!

A great tit investigates Box1 this time. That reminds me, I haven't put back the bluetit sized metal plate yet!
Here's a bluetit looking at Box1. I know we have had some success with great tits in the past, but I still think bluetits are more interesting to watch!
